The unofficial fifth major golf tournament takes place this week.

The 45th Players Championship will be held from May 10–13 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Past winners include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia and the iconic 17th par-3 island green has created numerous moments of drama over the years.

Full coverage begins from 6pm on Sky Sports The Players for the first two rounds (Wednesday and Thursday), with the weekend action starting an hour later and following the leading groups right through until the close of play.

Sky’s coverage will be presented by David Livingstone, Butch Harmon, Paul McGinley and Rich Beem, who’ll be on hand to dissect all of the action from one of golf’s most exciting courses.

Henni Goya will provide a behind-the-scenes view of the tournament on the Sky Sports Golf social media channels, with a daily digital show plus loads of extra content on Sky’s social media accounts.

Viewers can follow the coverage on the move via SkyGo, while non-Sky subscribers can keep up with the extensive Sky Sports Golf coverage via a contract-free NOW TV Day Pass for £6.99.
