The Great North Run will take place this morning with live TV coverage on BBC One.
Gabby Logan will presents coverage of the half-marathon that runs from Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields, with approximately 57,000 runners set to take part this time around.
Global superstars of distance running and wheelchair racing go head to head, including four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah, who defends his 2017 title, and also has an unprecedented fifth consecutive victory in his sights.
In the women’s competition, 2016 champion Vivian Cheruiyot heads the pack, while in the wheelchair race, David Weir is favourite to add another winner’s medal to his impressive collection.
Coverage starts at 9.30am on BBC One and BBC One HD with live streaming via the BBC iPlayer.
