Round 19 of the 2018 Formula One season takes place this weekend (26-28 Oct) at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.

Britain’s Lewis Hamilton secured the fourth world title of his career at this event last year, with his ninth-place finish enough to ensure that he could not be caught at the top of the Drivers’ Championship.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the 2017 race, ahead of Hamilton’s Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen.

Hamilton – who has a 70 point lead over Sebastian Vettel in the Drivers’ Championship – only needs to end the weekend with a 50-point lead, which means he will be champion even if he finishes as low as seventh and Vettel wins the race.

The Brit will also be crowned World Champion if Vettel secures anything less than victory.

All five sessions – practice, qualifying and the race – will be shown live on Sky Sports F1, while Channel 4 airs highlights of qualifying and the race.

Qualifying begins at 7pm BST, while the race starts at 7.10pm GMT.
