London Marathon

The 2021 London Marathon takes place this Sunday (3rd October) with live TV coverage on the BBC.

Gabby Logan will present live coverage of the 41st London Marathon, as 50,000 virtual runners join up with 42,000 on the streets of London to make it the largest marathon ever staged anywhere in the world.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, only the elite races were held last year, with Shura Kitata of Ethiopia winning the men’s race and Kenya’s Brigid Kosgei claiming an emphatic victory in the women’s event.

Coverage starts at 8.00am on BBC Two, before switching over to BBC One from 10.00pm.

Gabby will be joined by Jeanette Kwakye, while commentary comes from Steve Cram, Andrew Cotter, Tanni Grey-Thompson and Paula Radcliffe.

A hour long highlights programme will air on BBC Two at 6.00pm.
