The 17th round of the 2019 Formula One season takes place this weekend at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan.
Mercedes had dominated this race in recent years and Lewis Hamilton held a commanding lead in the standings, but Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc had been in impressive form in recent weeks.
Hamilton comes into this weekend with a 73 point lead in the drivers’ championship over fellow teammate Valtteri Bottas (249).
Charles Leclerc (215) is in third place, 3 points in front of Max Verstappen (212).
All five sessions – practices, qualifying and the race – will be shown live on Sky Sports F1. Channel 4 will air highlights of the race at 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
EDIT: The threat of Typhoon Hagibis has resulted in Saturday’s action being cancelled and qualifying moved to Sunday morning.
Qualifying now starts at 2.00am on Sunday morning, and the race goes off at 6.10am on Sunday morning.
