ITV will broadcast the final Euro 2020 game of the day as Italy host Switzerland at Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Italy laid down a marker in the opening match of the tournament against Turkey, running out comfortable 3-0 winners, while Switzerland were held to a 1-1 draw by Wales.

These near neighbours haven’t played each other since June 2010, and this is their first-ever meeting at the European Championship finals.

Switzerland’s last victory over the Azzurri came back in May 1993, when Roy Hodgson masterminded a 1-0 World Cup qualifying win in Berne thanks to Marc Hottiger’s second-half goal.

It’s fair to say that the Swiss have been drawn a difficult hand in this tournament, beginning their campaign against Wales in Azerbaijan, before travelling to Rome for this match, and then returning to Baku for their final group fixture against Turkey.

Italy are coached by former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, who has used a number of players from lesser-known clubs to make his side one of the form outfits in world football.

Mark Pougatch will be live on ITV and ITV HD from 7.15pm, where he’ll be joined in the studio by Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira and Gary Neville.

Match commentary comes from Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon.

Kick-off 8.00pm.

The BBC will broadcast the other two Euro 2020 games today, including Finland v Russia from 1.15pm, and Turkey v Wales at 4.00pm.
