ITV will air coverage of the opening match of week 2 of Six Nations 2018 this afternoon as Ireland host Italy at the Aviva Stadium.

The Irish have won the past four Six Nations meetings with the Azzurri, including a thumping 63-10 victory at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome last year.

Hat-tricks from CJ Stander and Craig Gilroy helped Ireland to a nine-try win, with Keith Earls also scoring a brace.

Coverage starts at 1.30pm on ITV, where Jill Douglas is joined in the studio by Brian O’Driscoll, Marco Bortolami and Maggie Alphonsi.

Match commentary comes from Martin Gillingham, Gordon D’Arcy and David Flatman, with reports from Gabriel Clarke.

Kick-off 2.15pm

ITV will also air England v Wales from 4.45pm this evening.

The BBC will broadcast the final contest of the weekend as France travel to Scotland on Sunday afternoon. Coverage starts at 2.30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
