The 2019/20 NFL season comes to an end this evening as the AFC and NFC champions face each other for the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy in Super Bowl 54.
The match, which takes place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, sees Kansas City Chiefs take on San Francisco 49ers.
The Chiefs – led by last year’s NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes – are appearing in their first Super Bowl since 1970, when they defeated Minnesota Vikings 23-7.
The 49ers have won five Super Bowl championships, but their most recent triumph came on this same ground 25 years ago, when they beat San Diego Chargers 49-26 thanks largely to quarterback Steve Young’s six touchdown passes.
Last year, the title was won by Tom Brady’s New England Patriots, who triumphed 13-3 over the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta, Georgia – the lowest-scoring Super Bowl game in history.
Sky Sports coverage gets underway at 10.00pm on Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Main Event.
The BBC’s build up starts at 11pm on BBC Two, before switching to BBC One from 11.25pm.
The game will be shown on FOX in the United States with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman as match commentators and Erin Andrews and Chris Myers providing sideline reports. Mike Pereira will join Joe and Troy as FOX’s rules analyst.
Kick-off 11.30pm GMT / 6.30pm ET
The referee is Bill Vinovich. The National anthem will be sung by Demi Lovato, while the Halftime show comes from Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
