Lewis Hamilton - Formula One - F1

The 2016 Canadian Grand Prix takes place this weekend from the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is looking for his second victory of the season after claiming his first win last time out in Monaco.

This win saw the British driver reduce the deficit to championship leader Nico Rosberg to 24 points.

Red Bulls Daniel Ricciardo comes into this weekend third in the drivers’ standings on 66 points, 16 points behind Hamilton, but 5 and 6 points ahead of Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel respectively.

All five sessions – practice, qualifying and the race – will be shown live on Sky Sports F1, while Channel 4 will broadcast free-to-air highlights of qualifying and the race.

Sky’s Martin Brundle will miss this weekend’s Grand Prix following a medical procedure.

He told his 500k+ Twitter followers: “Had a medical procedure last week, went extremely well. I won’t be in Montreal but my excellent @SkySportsF1 colleagues will. Every lap live.”
