BT and Sky Sports today announced the first batch of Premier League fixtures that they will broadcast live for the 2017/18 season.

All 20 sides will be shown on Sky in the opening two months, while BT’s first game of the season is Brighton and Hove Albion’s first game back in the top flight as they host Manchester City.

Sky Sports will kick off the new Premier League season with a Friday Night Football clash between Arsenal and Leicester, handing Alexandre Lacazette a top-flight Gunners debut in front of the cameras.

The 2017/18 term will start – for the first time on a Friday – at the Emirates on August 11, before a packed opening weekend of live action takes in a Saturday lunchtime clash between Watford and Liverpool, the Saturday evening showdown between Brighton and Manchester City, and a Super Sunday double-header that pitches promoted Newcastle against Tottenham and Manchester United versus West Ham.

“Showing Arsenal’s record-signing in the first match of the season – under the Friday night lights – is an exciting way to kick things off,” said Gary Hughes, Sky Sports Head of Football.

“In the opening seven weeks Sky Sports will show every club, four of the early head-to-heads and get to 18 grounds. We can’t wait for the season to start.”

Last season’s top six – Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United – will feature in BT Sport’s first eight confirmed matches.

“BT Sport will continue being the home of live Saturday evening Premier League football next season,” said Simon Green, head of BT Sport.

“We offer football fans a superb Saturday football experience, beginning with the innovative afternoon show BT Sport Score and ending with Premier League Tonight at 8pm.”
