The 2017 Formula One season continues this weekend as the third round takes place at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

Lewis Hamilton earned pole position here last year, but was unable to fully capitalise, finishing third behind his then Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, but with World Champion no longer in the fray, he will be hoping to take maximum points this time around.

Hamilton comes into this weekend on level points (43) with Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel after the German won the opening grand prix in Australia three weeks ago, and Hamilton claiming all 25 points last weekend in China.

Just a point separates Mercedes and Ferrari in the constructors world championship with the german-based team a point ahead (66) of its Italian rivals (65).

All five sessions – practice, qualifying and the race – will be shown live on Channel 4 and Sky Sports F1.

Qualifying and the Race start at 4pm UK time.
