Palace are looking to lift the trophy for the first time in their history, having been runners-up to Manchester United in 1990 and 2016, and their impressive 3-0 wins over Fulham and Aston Villa in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively will give them hope.
However, they will still go into this match as underdogs against the Citizens, who have endured an otherwise poor campaign by their own lofty standards, but prevailed 2-0 against Nottingham Forest in the last four to reach their third successive FA Cup final.
The match will be shown live on the BBC and ITV.
Gary Lineker will be live on BBC One and BBC One HD from 3.25pm, where he will be joined in the studio by Wayne Rooney and Micah Richards.
Match commentary comes from Guy Mowbray and Alan Shearer.
Over on ITV1, Mark Pougatch will be live from 3.00pm in the company of Roy Keane, Joleon Lescott, and Ian Wright.
There will be additional analysis from Laura Woods and Karen Carney.
Match commentary comes from Sam Matterface, Lee Dixon and Ally McCoist with reports from Gabriel Clarke.
Kick-off 4.30pm.
