BBC Match of the Day running order on 17th August 2024

The running order for tonight’s first Match of the Day of the new season is as follows:

1: Ipswich v Liverpool; 2: Everton v Brighton & Hove Albion; 3: Arsenal v Wolves; 4: Newcastle United v Southampton.

5: West Ham United v Aston Villa; 6: Nottingham Forest v Bournemouth; 7: Manchester United v Fulham.

Gary Lineker will be live on BBC One and BBC One HD from 10.20pm, where he will be joined in the studio by Joe Hart and Alan Shearer.

The programme will be repeated on the same channel from 8.30am on Sunday morning, and will be made available on the BBC iPlayer from 7.00pm on Sunday Night.

Two games will take place on Sunday afternoon as Brentford host Crystal Palace at 2pm, and Manchester City travel to Chelsea at 4.30pm – both live on Sky Sports.

Highlights of both games will air on BBC’s Match of the Day 2 at 10.30pm, Sunday night on BBC One.

The final game of the weekend comes on the Monday Night Football as Leicester City host Tottenham Hotspur from 8.00pm on Sky Sports.
