Royal Ascot 2019 takes place this week – Tuesday 18th – Saturday 22nd June – Live on ITV and Sky Sports.

Royal Ascot is the biggest global racing festival in the world – with five days of top-class racing including eight Group Ones, the Queen’s arrival in a horse-drawn procession every day, and fashion and festivities at every turn.

ITV Racing

ITV’s coverage is daily from 1.30-6pm. Each day starts with the Queen’s arrival and covers every one of the 30 races live.

The Opening Show preview programme is also shown daily on ITV4 at 9am Tuesday-Friday, and 9.30am on Saturday 22 June.

Broadcast Sports Presenters of the Year Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani host exclusive free-to-air coverage live from Ascot.

Joining Ed and Francesca for expert analysis will be Jason Weaver (every day), 48-time Royal Ascot winning jockey Johnny Murtagh (Tuesday to Thursday), 20-time Champion jump jockey Sir Anthony McCoy (Friday) and Kevin Blake (Saturday).

Reporting will be Rishi Persad, Oli Bell and Luke Harvey. Matt Chapman and Chris Hughes will oversee the Social Stable, with Brian Gleeson bringing all the betting news and Richard Hoiles and Mark Johnson commentating.

Brough Scott will also join the team, as will Lorraine’s Mark Heyes and Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins who will cast their eye over the Ascot fashions daily. Royal expert Katie Nicholl will also be on hand every day for the 2pm Royal parade and Lucy Verasamy will provide weather bulletins.

Sky Sports

Every race will also be shown live on Sky Sports Racing, channel 415.

Sky teams of on-screen talent includes Alex Hammond, analyst Jamie Lynch and former top jockey Freddy Tylicki.

Coverage kicks off every day from 12.00pm with the team previewing the day’s racing before the live coverage starts at 1:30pm.
