It will be the twenty-third and penultimate round of the 2024 Formula One World Championship and the sixth and final Grand Prix weekend of the season to utilise the sprint format.
Coming into the weekend, Max Verstappen, who clinched the title at the previous Grand Prix, leads the Drivers’ Championship with 403 points, 63 points ahead of Lando Norris in second, and 84 ahead of Charles Leclerc in third.
McLaren, holding 608 points, enters this round as the leader of the Constructors’ Championship from Ferrari and Red Bull Racing, who are second and third with 584 and 555 points, respectively.
All five sessions – practice, sprint shootout, sprint, qualifying, and the race – will be shown live on Sky Sports F1, while highlights of sprint, qualifying and the race will be broadcast on Channel 4.
