Lucy Owen is expecting her first child after undergoing IVF treatment.

In an exclusive interview with Wales on Sunday, Lucy, three-months pregnant reveals her joy as she prepares to become a mum.

Lucy, 36, and Husband, Rhodri, 35, have spent the past two years desperately trying for a baby since getting married in 2004.

But the pair are now looking forward to becoming proud parents after Lucy became pregnant after undergoing IVF treatment at a private clinic in London.

Lucy is expected to announce her pregnancy on ITV Wales’ news programme tomorrow.

Lucy said: “Rhodri and I are absolutely over the moon. We have been trying for a baby of our own for a couple of years. We are thrilled with the news.

“I can’t wait to become a mum and Rhodri is so excited. He is like a little puppy.

“I have been wanting to tell everyone for ages.

“It’s been so difficult to keep it a secret as I have put on weight in the newsroom and I don’t fit into some of my clothes!”

The TV Newsroom would like to congratulate and wish Lucy and Rhodi the very best for the future.
