England on ITV

ITV will broadcast live UEFA Nations League action this evening as Republic of Ireland host England.

This opening match in Group B2 will be held at the Aviva Stadium in Ireland.

England were relegated from League A in the previous campaign after finishing bottom of a group containing Italy, Hungary and Germany, but have since reached the final of Euro 2024, having to settle for second place once again after losing out to Spain.

Since that final two months ago, Gareth Southgate has stood down as head coach and been replaced by Lee Carsley on an interim basis.

The Republic finished third in their group in 2022/23, below Scotland and Ukraine but ahead of Armenia, and they also welcome a new manager to the helm in the form of Heimir Hallgrimsson.

Mark Pougatch will be live on ITV1 and ITV1 HD from 4.00pm, where he will be joined in the studio by Ian Wright and Roy Keane.

Match commentary comes from Sam Matterface and Andros Townsend with pitchside reports from Gabriel Clarke.

Kick-off 5.00pm.

The match will also be streamed live online on ITVX.
