The 2019 Grand National Festival will take place from Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th April – live on ITV.

Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani will be live at Aintree, Liverpool, to cover the opening day and Ladies’ Day in the lead-up to the most famous event in racing, the 2019 Grand National on Saturday.

Joining Ed and Francesca for expert analysis are Sir AP McCoy, Luke Harvey and Mick Fitzgerald, with reporting from Oli Bell, Alice Plunkett, Rishi Persad and Brian Gleeson.

Matt Chapman will oversee the Social Stable and Richard Hoiles will be the lead commentator.

Additionally, Lucy Verasamy will provide the weather forecast, Mark Heyes and Charlotte Hawkins join the team on Friday to cast their eye over the spectacular Aintree fashions, and Chris Hughes is back to join Matt in the social stable for all three days.

Brough Scott also returns for Grand National day to bring his unique perspective to the festival.

Coverage starts at 2pm each day on ITV, while The Opening Show is on ITV4 from 9.30am.

All three days will also be streaming live online via the ITV Hub.

Opening Day – 4th April

On the opening day, three Grade One races headline the ITV Racing card – the Doom Bar Anniversary 4 year old Hurdle (2.20pm), the Betway Bowl Steeple Chase (2.50pm) and the Betway Aintree Hurdle (3.25pm), plus the amateur riders go over the Grand National fences in the Randox Health Foxhunters’ Steeple Chase (4.05pm).

Ladies Day – 5th April

Ladies’ Day features four Grade One races including the Betway Top Novices’ Hurdle (2.20pm), Betway Mildmay Novices’ Steeple Chase (2.50pm), JLT Melling Steeple Chase (3.25pm) and the Doom Bar Sefton Novices’ Hurdle (4.40pm), plus the professionals are in action over the big fences in the Randox Health Topham Steeple Chase (4.05pm)

Grand National Day – 6th April

Saturday’s feature is the world’s most famous race, the 2019 Randox Health Grand National Steeple Chase, due off at 5.15pm, with supporting races on the card including the Betway Mersey Novices’ Hurdle (2.25pm), Doom Bar Maghull Novices’ Steeple Chase (3.00pm), the Ryanair Stayers Liverpool Hurdle (3.40pm) and the Betway Handicap Steeple Chase (4.20pm). The Grand National will be followed by a full replay with analysis to show where viewers’ selections finished.
