Greta Van Susteren is leaving the Fox News Channel with immediate effect.
The announcement was made by Fox News this morning but no reason was given for her departure.
Van Susteren has been the host of “On the Record” since 2002 and leaves the channel after 14 years.
Former host Brit Hume will take over the time slot temporarily.
“I am happy to take on this assignment for the balance of this extraordinary election,” Hume said in a statement. Hume will start Tuesday and will serve in the position through the election.
