Involved with hospital radio at Oxford University, then Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism Studies at Cardiff University, and joined the BBC as a News Trainee

Oh so many! Luring President Nelson Mandela into a live interview during a walk-about springs to mind

If there were any, I’ve forgotten them!
What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Get work experience, find out about what the jobs entail, knock on doors
