England get their World Cup 2018 Group G campaign underway this evening as they take on Tunisia at the Volgograd Arena in Russia.

England are unbeaten on the two occasions they have faced this evening’s opponents, with the most recent contest taking place at the 1998 World Cup in France – a clash that finished 2-0 in the group stage thanks to goals by Alan Shearer and Paul Scholes.

The Three Lions will be hoping to build on a strong qualifying campaign, where they finished top of their group with eight wins and two draws, but Tunisia also managed to negotiate their qualifying group with relative ease.

Africa’s highest-ranked team finished unbeaten with four wins in six games, and will be aiming to make it to the knockout stages of the tournament for the first time in their history.

Match coverage starts live at 6.15pm on BBC One and BBC One HD with live streaming via the BBC iPlayer.

Gary Lineker will be joined live in the studio by Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Alan Shearer. Match commentary comes from Guy Mowbray and Martin Keown.
