James Coleman has left TV3’s breakfast television show Sunrise effective immediately.

Coleman, formerly a radio DJ, had presented the show alongside Carly Flynn since it began in October last year.

A replacement for Coleman will be announced in coming weeks, with reporter Ali Ikram filling in until a new presenter is announced.

Peter Lloyd arrested, released on bail
ABC News' South Asia correspondent Peter Lloyd has been arrested in Singapore, charged with drug offences related to the supply of methamphetamine. Police from Singapore's Central Narcotics bureau arrested the reporter last Wednesday. abc-news icon

Tony Veitch had resigned from his weeknight sportsreading position on New Zealand’s national 6pm ONE News bulletin, following revelations that he bashed his ex-partner.

He has also resigned from his breakfast host position on Radio Sport.
