Several changes are expected at BBC News from Monday April 21.

From this date, BBC News 24 is expected to lose its '24' and will be housed in N6 with all BBC One bulletins bar Breakfast and the Six O'clock News which will stay in its current home.

New titles and graphics are belived to have been developed and will be used by both national and regional programmes.

BBC World is also expected to rebrand on this date and will move into the studio currently used by BBC News 24 later this year.

ITV announced today that News at Ten will return from Monday 14th January, broadcasting weekdays.

Friday’s programme 'The Late News' will broadcast at 11.00pm. Saturday and Sunday's edition will also broadcast late with no set start time.

Sir Trevor McDonald said: “I am delighted to be back with the news in the 10 o’clock slot."

Kate Silverton is to present the BBC's new 8pm news summary from its launch on Monday December 10, it has been announced.

The summary will include both national and regional news after a succesful trial in the Midlands earlier this year.

Silverton will also present the One O'clock News whilst Sophie Raworth is on maternity leave and do more reporting for Panorama.

Kate Silverton said: "I am delighted with the whole range of new challenges BBC News has offered me.
